Elmer Verley Parrish, age 80, of LaBelle, MO, passed away Saturday, February 11, 2023, in Springfield, IL.  He was born in Cabool, MO on February 23, 1942, the son of Verley Leo and Helen Elizabeth Hubble Parrish.  He was united in marriage to Lois Ann Lumley on April 28, 1962, and she preceded him in death on April 3, 2021.  Elmer was also preceded in death be his parents, a daughter Darla Parrish, one brother Ivan Parrish and one sister Elizabeth Faye Lund.

Surviving are two children, Scott (Dana) Parrish of LaBelle, MO, Brenda Parrish of Nashville, TN, one brother Elvin (Barbara) Parrish of LaBelle, MO, one granddaughter Julie Parrish, three step grandchildren, DaJanea Lloyd, Dermane Lloyd and Dewan Lloyd, and several step great grandchildren.

Elmer received his education in LaBelle schools.  He owned and operated a welding shop for over 50 years, mowed lawns for various businesses, LaBelle Cemetery, LaBelle City Lake and Newark Park.  Elmer enjoyed riding motorcycles, playing his guitar and listening to music.

Elmer's wishes were to be cremated.  No services will be held at this time.   Memorial services will be held at a later date under the direction of the Coder Funeral Chapel in LaBelle, MO.
