Eileen Berniece Davidson, age 85, of Edina, Missouri passed away Monday, January 17, 2011, at Twin Pines Adult Care Center in Kirksville, Missouri.
She was born August 17, 1925, at Kirksville, Missouri the daughter of Lane and Bessie Barnhart Reesman.
She was united in marriage to Francis Marion (Bud) Davidson on May 20, 1941, at Atlanta, Missouri and he preceded her in death on March 3, 2004.
Eileen was also preceded in death by her parents, one son Howard Davidson and two great grandchildren, Bret and Colin Phillips.
Surviving are ten children, Frances Kelley and Gary of Green Castle, Missouri, Larry Davidson and Marge of ¬¬¬-Edina, Missouri, Kate Laird and Ralph of LaPlata, Missouri, Janet Garlock and Dennis of Gibbs, Missouri, Wava Phillips and Jeff of Greentop, Missouri, Barbara Peterson and Richard of Taleta, Texas, Penny Davidson of Leander, Texas, Marty Davidson and Dorothy of Edina, Missouri, Arthur Davidson and Kitty of Leander, Texas, Norman Davidson of Kirksville, Missouri, one brother Frank Reesman and Jolene of Kirksville, Missouri, one sister-in-law Verna Wright of Kirksville, Missouri, twenty-four grandchildren, thirty-three great grandchildren, four great great grandchild, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Eileen received her education in Adair County rural schools. She lived in California while her husband was in the Army. They moved back to the Kirksville area and lived until retiring in 1993 then moved to Edina in 1994.
She was a nurse most of her life. She worked for Dr. DeVito and Dr. Schlephorst. She also worked as a charge nurse and medication nurse at K.O.H. and Laughlin Hospitals in Kirksville, Missouri. For a period of time she worked as a nurse at Twin Pines on week-ends.
Eileen attended Brashear Community Bible Church. She enjoyed ceramics, yard sales and spending time with her children and grandchildren
Funeral services will be Thursday, January 20, 2011 at 2 p.m. at the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, Missouri. Reverend Nancy Douglas will officiate the services. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery at Hurdland, Missouri.
Musical selections will be "Angles" and "Just A Closer Walk With Thee".
Casket bearers will be Marty Davidson, Art Davidson, Norman Davidson, Clint Lowe, Cliff Bodfield, Tyler Davidson and Chad Davidson.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 20, 2011, from 12 noon till time of services at 2 p.m. in the Chapel.
