Doris Darlene Oliver, age 75, of Baring, MO, passed away Saturday, December 2, 2023, passed away Saturday, December 2, 2023 in the Knox County Nursing Home.

She was born, January 30, 1948, in Illinois, the daughter of Joe and Martha D. Lambert Groseclose.  In May 3, 1980, she was united in marriage to Junior Oliver and he preceded her in death.

Doris attended schools in Schyler County, MO.  She was employed for several years as a CNA at the Knox County Nursing Home.   She later owned and operated Oliver's Café in Baring, MO for ten years.   She enjoyed playing Farmville on her computer, bingo, going to the casino and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Surviving are five children, Rick Nelson and Terri of Arbela, MO, Tammy Stull and Scott Brassfield of Memphis, MO, Eddie Nelson and Debbie of O'Fallon, MO, D.J. Wheeler of Baring, MO and Jessie Howe and Ronnie of Edina, MO, four step children, Jerry and Heather Oliver, David and Tina Oliver, Rob and Staci Oliver, Mike and Tonya Oliver, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, an aunt Jerrylee Bealer of Macon, MO, and several nieces and nephews.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter Debbie Vangrinsven, and brothers Joe, George and Tom Groseclose.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023, in the Hudson-Rime Funeral Home in Edina, MO.  The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8p.m.   Burial will be held at a later date in the St. Aloysius Cemetery in Baring, MO.
