Obituary

Doris Irene Boltz, age 83, of Knox City, MO, passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2014, in the Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, MO.
She was born August 15, 1930, in Knox County, MO, the daughter of Brady Lee and Hazel McKenzie Lindsey.
She was united in marriage to Marshall Bud Boltz on July 8, 1950, and he preceded her in death on November 17, 2001.
Doris was also preceded in death by her parents, one daughter Velma Wilson, one son Donald Lynn Boltz, one granddaughter Julie Anna Fountain and one sister Maxie Lindsey.
Surviving are five children, Linda (Ronnie) House of LaBelle, MO, Betty (Steve) Whiteaker of LaBelle, MO, Judy (Bill) Fountain of Knox City, MO, Dennis Boltz of Knox City, MO, and Alma (Doug) Wilson of Knox City, MO, three sisters, Thelma Garwood of Wyoming, Gloria Mae Sauerbier of Montana and Jenny (Dean) Cundall of Wyoming, three half brothers, two half sisters, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews aunts, uncles and cousins.
Doris lived all her married life in the Colony and Knox City communities. She was employed with Edina Glove Factory for eighteen years and baby sat for many. She enjoyed quilting, embroidering, fishing, gardening, country drives and spending time with her family. Doris was a member of the Knox City Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, January 11, 2014, in the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO. Reverend Sandy Browning will officiate the services. Burial will be in the Colony Cemetery.
Musical selections will be "Waltz Across Texas" and "Amazing Grace".
Casket bearers will be Mike Whiteaker, William Fountain, James Wilson, Shawn Wilson, Tyler Adams and Christopher Edwards.
Honorary bearers will be Bill Hayes, Mike Wilson, Charles Baker, Kenny Baker, Bobby Edwards and Darrell Parton.
Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Friday, January 10, 2014, with family receiving friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO.
Memorials may be made to the Knox City Baptist Church and may be left at or mailed to Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1, Edina, MO 63537.
