Donna Jean Hoffman age 69, of Lewistown, Missouri, passed away Friday, February 5, 2010, at the Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois.
She was born on April 2, 1940 at Parsons, Tennessee the daughter of William Issac and Dorene Pitts Preston.
She was united in marriage to Bruce William Hoffman and to this union three children were born.
Surviving are one daughter Melanie Lynn Klingele and husband Marvin of Lewistown, Missouri, two sons Bruce Scott Hoffman and Mathew William Hoffman and his friend Alisha all of LaBelle, Missouri, three sisters, Mary Kay Robles of Duarte, California, Sandra Fae Ramirez of Moreno Valley, California, and Robin Lynn Pitts of Buena Park, California, one brother Michael Ralph Preston and wife Lisa of Eldon, Missouri, eight grandchildren, Matthew Waltman, Michael Courtney, Dustin Hoffman, Audra Klingele, Dillon Hoffman, Dalton Hoffman, Alivia Handy and Trevor Hoffman, three great grandchildren, Brennen, Bryleigh and Kaeson, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Billy Joe Preston, one sister, Janet Marie Dudley, one uncle George Martin Preston and one nephew Lucas Preston.
Donna lived all her life in the LaBelle and Lewistown area. She was currently the Administrator for the Lewis County Ambulance. She had also been employed for several years with Doctors, Williams-Martin-Castello and Kayden. In her earlier years she was employed several years with Motorola in Quincy, Illinois. Donna was a member of the Lewistown Baptist Church, a board member of the Missouri Ambulance Associates, a board member of Wider Opportunities, and a board member of the Child Fatality Review Board. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, her cats and spending time with her family and friends.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 9, 2010, at the Ewing Baptist Church in Ewing, Missouri. Brother Tim Smith will officiate the services assisted by Brother Rod Webster. Burial will be in the LaBelle Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be her grandsons, Matthew Waltman, Michael Courtney, Dustin Hoffman, Dillon Hoffman, Dalton Hoffman and Trevor Hoffman.
Honorary bearers will be Ruth Cason, Trella Bradley, Jani Miller, Shirley Henderson, Patty Vogel, Jeannie Perrigo and members of Lewis County EMS.
Visitation will be Monday, February 8, 2010, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Ewing Baptist Church.
