Donald F. Hysell, 81 of Kirksville passed away on October 26, 2016 at the La Plata Nursing Home in La Plata, MO.  Donnie was born to Obie and Sara (Bowen) Hysell in Edina on June 14, 1935.

Donnie is survived by three children, Jeana Hysell of Surprise AZ, Robert Hysell of La Plata MO and Gary Hysell of Edina MO, a brother, Larry Hysell of Palm Coast, Florida, the love of his life Linda Strabely, step children, Niki Kryaninko of Westminster, MD, Delbert Anderson of Williamstown MO, Dorothy Walters of Edina, MO and Debbie Anderson of Knox City, MO.  A niece and couple of great nieces also survive.

Donnie was proceeded in death by two infant children, his brother, Ernest and his parents.

Donnie grew up locally and became a businessman.  He served in the United States Army.  He owned and operated a roofing business followed by a tack business due to the love of horses.  Donnie was known for selling leather gloves, saddles and bridles.

It was Donnie's wishes to be cremated.  No services will be held.  Arrangements were under the direction of Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home of Edina, MO.
