David Leon Starr, Jr., age 63 of LaBelle, MO, passed away Sunday, December 15, 2019, at his home in LaBelle.

He was born June 28, 1956, in South Carolina, the son of David Leon, Sr. and Letha Lucille Davis Starr.  He was united in marriage to Mary Bell on March 21, 2001, at LaBelle, MO.

Surviving are his wife Mary Starr of LaBelle, MO, his mother Letha Lucille Starr of San Antonio, TX, six children, Wendy Starr of San Antonio, TX, Daniel (Joslyn) Starr of Charlotte North Carolina, Terry (Sarah) Starr of Edina, MO, James Star of LaBelle, MO, Emmey Starr of Shelbina, MO, and Georgia Starr and fiancé Mike of Columbia, MO, fifteen grandchildren and five brothers and sisters.  David was preceded in death by his father, two sons, David Starr, III, and Sonny Starr and one brother Daniel Starr.

David received his education in Keokuk, IA and San Antonio, TX.  He was employed for thirty-five years as a truck driver and was also a carpenter.  He enjoyed woodworking and spending time with family and friends.

David will be cremated and services will be held at a later date.  Memorials may be made to the family and may be left at or mailed to Coder Funeral Chapel, P.O. Box 151, LaBelle, MO 63447.
