David Glennon Snelling, age 69, of Kirksville, MO formerly of Knox County, passed away November 29, 2019, in Springfield, MO.

He was born April 8, 1950, in Edina, MO, the son of Edward Grant and Goldie Mae Gastineau Snelling.  David received his education in a country school and graduated from Baring Elementary School.  He graduated from Knox County High School in 1968.

David lived in Knox County where he helped his mother on the family farm.  He enjoyed crocheting, taking walks, traveling, riding his bike, animals, his video camera and computer.  He also loved trips to the Old Thrashers Reunion in Mt. Pleasant, IA.  David attended the Kirksville Church of Christ Church.

Surviving are two sisters, Joyce Schmitz of Loose Creek, MO, Bertha Warren of Aurora, MO, two nephews, Michael Snelling, Jacob Briggs; four nieces, Laura Lloyd, Heather Mudd, Angela Briggs, and Kelly Briggs.  David was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held, 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 4, 2019, in Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO.  Pastor Dan Green will officiate the services.  Burial will be in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery northeast of Edina, MO.  Musical selections will be Old Rugged Cross, and In The Garden.

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 1 p.m. till service time at 2 p.m. in the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO.
