Danny Eugene Walker of Newark MO passed away Wednesday, May 16 ^th , 2018, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo. He was welcomed into Heaven by his parents Lyle James and Betty Lou Parton Walker, a brother, David Walker, and Sister Carrie Lee Sue Goehl. He is survived by his wife Carol Sue McCormick Walker of Newark, MO, a daughter Sierra Walker and her boyfriend Matthew Stocker of Rochester, MN, a son Derek Walker and spouse Jeffrey Eaton of Ewing, MO, his niece Kellie Sue (Jeff) Moyers of Moberly, MO, his niece Tonya (Bobby) Lair of Ewing, MO, his nephew Jason Walker of Durham, MO, his nephew Tommy (Missy) Bowen of Labelle, MO, his niece Tina (Luke) Maddox of Sulphur, LA, and his niece Donna (Arvin) Nixon of Moberly, MO. Danny was born October 31, 1953 and grew up in rural Knox City, MO where he developed his appreciation for nature and love for fishing. He graduated from Highland High School in 1971 and continued his education at Kirksville Vocational Technical School and in 1986 received his L.P.N. License. Nothing was more important to Danny in his life than his family & friends, his patients, and having the opportunity to help others. A celebration of his life will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 23rd, 2018, in the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. and memorial service staring at 8 p.m.
