Daniel Carl (Danny) Dooley, age 45 of Novelty, MO, passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2013, at the Knox County Nursing Home in Edina, MO.
He was born November 7, 1968, in Kirksville, MO the son of James Dean and Wilda Kay Bean Dooley. He was united in marriage to Daisy De Leon on February 4, 2002 in the Philippines.
Surviving are his wife Daisy Dooley of Novelty, MO, his mother Kay Dooley of Edina, MO, one son Donovan Dooley and one daughter Daniela Dooley both of the home, one sister Deborah Kay Dooley of Edina, MO, two brothers James Kenneth Dooley and wife Gloria of Novelty, MO, Brian Lee Dooley and wife Jill of Novelty, MO, his father and mother-in-law Norberto and Mile De Leon of the Philippines, and nieces and nephews Kayla, Chris, Sarah, Robert, Kaylee and William Dooley and Jake Aldridge.
Danny was preceded in death by his father, and grandparents, Walter and Margaret Dooley and Carl and Sylvia Bean.
Danny received his education in Knox County, graduating from Knox County High School. He had been employed with Cardwell Lumber, Rock Quarry, and was a substitute school bus driver. Danny was engaged in farming and for the past eleven years was employed at Co-op Service Station in Edina. Danny attended the Plevna Christian Church. He had received the FFA State and American Farmer Awards. He loved bowling, fishing, hunting, and playing games with his children.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, December 14, 2013, in the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO. Reverend David Doctorian and Reverend Paul Milliken will officiate the services. Burial will be in the Novelty Cemetery.
Musical selections will be "Amazing Grace", "Holes In The Floor Of Heaven", and "Daddy's Hands".
Casket bearers will be Kenny Dooley, Chris Dooley, Brian Dooley, Wayne Miller, Billy Miller and Karl Franke.
Honorary bearers will be Norberto De Leon, George Hunolt, Robert Hunolt, Kent Franke, J.W. Franke, Gary Mallett, Larry Klocke, Darin Parrish, Rex Winn, Jim Pinson, Karl Miller and Dale Prather.
Visitation will be held after 4 p.m. on Friday, December 13, 2013, with family receiving friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
