Obituary

Cynthia Sue Stutsman age 72 of Knox City, MO passed away, early Monday evening, October 8, 2018 at her residence in Knox City, MO.

Born August 13, 1946 in Burlington, IA she was a daughter of Howard and Helen Wick Francis.  Cynthia received her education from the Burlington Community High School.  On February 14, 1981 at Mt. Pleasant, IA she married the love of her life, Kenneth R. Stutsman.

Surviving are her loving husband; two daughters, Joi Harris & Jay of West Burlington, IA and June Sonnier of Tipton, IA; three sons, Russell Acton II & Jeannie of Boone, IA, William Stutsman & Mandi  of Yucca Valley, CA and Kenny Jo Stutsman & Jill of Burlington, IA; grandchildren, Justin Harris & Haylee, Joel Harris & Teyler, Jordan Harris & Jamie, Maddie Stutsman, Emily Stutsman and Savannah Stutsman; one great granddaughter, Harlee Jo Harris, a sister, Kaye James of Fair Oaks, CA; an uncle, Lawrence Stutsman of LaBelle, MO; several nieces, nephews and cousins and her chihuahua, Buddy, who was her constant companion.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Greg Francis.

She was employed as a telemetry technician at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville for many years.  Cynthia enjoyed spending time with her family. Taking motorcycle trips with her husband, her daughter, Joi and her favorite son-in-law, Jay.  She loved playing cards with Glenn and Rosa Harris and camping.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church of LaBelle where she enjoyed going to church and she loved her church family.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 11, 2018 at the Knox City Cemetery, Knox City, MO.  Reverend James Renot will officiate the service.   Casket bearers will be Joel Harris, Justin Harris, Jay Harris, Lawrence Stutsman, Kenny Jo Stutsman and David Stutsman.

Visitation with family greeting friends will be held 4 – 7 p.m. Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO.

Memorials in memory of Mrs. Stutsman may be made to the First Baptist Church of LaBelle.  The memorials may be left at or mailed to Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1, Edina, MO 63537.
