Connie Marie Browning, age 47, of Knox City, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, December 1, 2009, at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, Missouri. She was born May 1, 1962, in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of William and Lola Roeder Shumate. On August 1, 2004, she was united in marriage to Tony Browning at Knox City, Missouri.
Surviving are her husband Tony Browning of Knox City, Missouri, her mother Lola Elizabeth Hutcherson and husband Ron of LaBelle, Missouri, four children, Shane Roeder and friend Echo of Lewistown, Missouri, Shawn Roeder and wife Cassie of Ewing, Missouri, Keith Allen Roeder of Illinois, and Randy Roeder and wife Lagara of LaBelle, Missouri, three step children, Heather Schrage and husband Jeremy of Edina, Missouri, Michael Browning and wife Rachael of Knox City, Missouri, and Brandi Murphy of St. Louis, Missouri, twenty-four grandchildren, one step brother, Ronnie Hutcherson and wife Amy and one step sister Debra Giles and husband Rob both of Macomb, Illinois, several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, two sisters, Lorie and Jamie Shumate and one brother Scott Shumate.
Connie was raised at Manchester, Missouri where she received her education. She was a housewife and homemaker and resided on a farm north of Knox City, Missouri with her husband. Connie attended the Baptist Church at Ewing, Missouri. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends especially her grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 5, 2009, at the Coder Funeral Chapel in LaBelle, Missouri. Reverend Sandy Browning will officiate the services. Burial will be in the Knox City Cemetery.
Musical selections will be "When I Get Where I'm Going" and "How Great Thou Art".
Casket bearers will be Ralph Clay, Andy Hudson, Mac Early, Michael Browning, Rex Browning, and Lloyd Smith.
Visitation will be on Friday, December 4, 2009, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Coder Funeral Chapel in LaBelle, Missouri.
