Coil Leonard Florea, age 94, of Lewistown, MO, passed away Monday, September 2, 2019, in Country Aire Retirement Estates in Lewistown, MO.
He was born November 18, 1924, in Knox City, MO, the son of Coil Franklin and Grace Elsie Byers Florea.
Surviving are five children, Rita Joy (Jerry) Smith of Casper, WY, Sammy Dean (Kandy) Florea of Meridan, ID, Gail Roberta (Gary) Hilzer of Green Valley, AZ, Deborah Sue Eubanks of Casper, WY, and Ginger Rae (Harold) Cummins of Otho, IA, one sister Lilly (Wendell) Kurtz of Edina, MO, one brother George Florea of Horseshoe Bend, AK, 15 grandchildren numerous great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mr. Florea received his education in rural schools and attended LaBelle Elementary School. Coil has resided in the LaBelle area since moving here from Casper Wyoming in 2000. Coil was a truck driver. He was baptized in the Methodist Church at Knox City, MO. Coil loved horses, John Wayne Westerns, the St. Louis Cardinals and spending time with family and friends.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, September 12, 2019, in the Coder Funeral Chapel in LaBelle, MO. Reverend Sam Smith will officiate the services. Burial will be in the Knox City Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Thursday, September 12, 2019, from 12 noon till time of services at 2 p.m. in the Coder Funeral Chapel in LaBelle, MO.
Memorials are suggested to Country Aire Retirement Estates or Hospice of Northeast MO. Memorials may be left at or mailed to Coder Funeral Chapel, P.O. Box 151, LaBelle, MO, 63447.
