Obituary

Chester Eugene (Gene) Parker, age 66, of Yuma, Arizona passed away Saturday, January 15, 2011, at the Yuma Regional Medical Center.
He was born October 19, 1944, at St. Louis, Missouri, the son of Chester and Michaleen Coppage Parker. He was united in marriage to Teresa Lucille Sparrow December 11, 1993, at LaBelle, Missouri.
Chester is survived by his wife, Teresa Lucille Parker, his father Chester Parker of De Soto, Missouri, his mother Michaleen Coppage of Hannibal, Missouri, six children, Pamela Olson of San Diego, California, Chester Eugene parker, Jr. and wife Brandy of Hannibal, Missouri, Danielle Dessormier and husband Daniel of the State of Washington, Bryce Parker of Arlington, Texas, Thera Parker of Arlington, Texas, and Jarrod Lewis Phillips and wife Brenna of Canton, Missouri, two brothers, Gary Parker and wife Sharon of St. Louis, Missouri, Thim Parker and wife Jane of Edina, Missouri, one sister Midrean DeBold and husband Bill of St. Louis, Missouri, several grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Parker was born at St. Louis, Missouri. He served his country in the United States Navy and retired after 20 years of service obtaining the rank of Chief Petty Officer. Gene received a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. He was employed for several years as an Administrator for an Ambulance District in St. Louis, Missouri, Heartland Resources in Ewing, Missouri and also served as Administrator of the Hannibal Ambulance District in Hannibal, Missouri. For the past several years he and his wife have resided in Yuma, Arizona.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, January 22, 2011, at the Coder Funeral Chapel in LaBelle, Missouri. Officiating the services will be Pastor Joe Jorgensen and Pastor Gary Parker. Burial with full Military Honors will be in the LaBelle Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Jarrod Parker, Eugene Parker, Bryce Parker, Keith Sparrow, Scott Wolter, and Thim Parker.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 21, 2011, after 4 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Coder Chapel in LaBelle, Missouri.
Memorials in memory of Chester (Gene) Parker may be made to Yuma Hospice. Memorials may be left at or mailed to Coder Funeral Chapel, P.O. Box 151, LaBelle, Missouri, 63447.
