Charlotte Ann Harvey , age 92, of Knox City, MO, passed away Friday, May 31, 2024, in Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL.  Charlotte was born December 5, 1931, in Knox County, MO, the daughter of Alfred Howard and Fannie Orpha Sellens Harvey.

Charlotte received her education in Knox County, MO graduating from Knox City High School.   She received a BS in Education and a MA in Administration from Northeast MO State Teachers College now (Truman State University) in Kirksville, MO.

Charlotte taught elementary school in Knox County, MO for 6 years and St. Charles, MO for 34 years retiring in 1990 after 40 years of teaching.  She was a member of the Knox City Christian Church, the Retired Teachers Association, a past member of Missouri State Teachers Association, NEA, and Kappa Kappa Iota Teachers Sorority.  Charlotte enjoyed crocheting and gardening.

Surviving is a dear friend Wanda Miller of Knox City, MO and several nieces and nephews including Eric Harvey, Karen James, Amy (Brant) Arnold, Melvin (Amanda) Harvey, Carol Jean (Kent) VanMeter, Charles Bachmann, Marjorie Gittings, Lewis Bachmann, Judy Nicol, and Cathy (Raymond) Dickey, and several great nieces and nephews and cousins.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Charles, Harold and Robert Harvey, and two sisters Minnie Bachman, and Elizabeth Howe.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 5, 2024, in the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO.  Visitation will begin Wednesday at 1 p.m. and funeral services will begin at 2 p.m.

Officiating the services will be Reverend Sandy Browning and Pastor Paul Harvey.  Burial will be in the Knox City Cemetery.

Casket bearers will be Todd Goodwin, Rodney Roush, Joey Nicol, Jeremy Harvey, Greg Orear and Doug Homrighausen.

Musical selections will be It Is Well With My Soul and Precious Memories.

Memorials are suggested to Knox County Nutrition Site and or the Knox City Christian Church.  Memorials may be left at or mailed to Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1, Edina, MO 63537.
