Savage

Charles Curtis Savage age 46, of LaBelle, MO, passed away Thursday, February 8, 2024 at his residence in LaBelle, MO. He was born to Jimmy Lee and Dorothy Goehl Savage on December 17, 1977, in Kirksville, MO. During his early years he was raised by his maternal grandparents, Marion Walter and Hazel Louise Miller Goehl, until they both became ill and he went to live with Billy Bob and Susan Turpin where he spent the remainder of his childhood.
Charles married Marie Watters on January 17, 2009 and to this union three children were born. Chyan Michele, twins Anthony Thomas and Amy Lynn.
Charles later married Heather Dunn on July 11, 2020.
Charles worked many years as a CNA until his health forced him to quit. He gained many friends along the way. Charles loved his children more than life and made sure they always had everything they needed.
Charles enjoyed a daily ride around town. He and his family spent a lot of time camping in the summer. He also enjoyed sitting on his front porch swing, watching traffic go by and the occasional friend or neighbor stopping by. He would help anyone who needed it and had many friends. His favorite time of year was summer. He loved shooting fireworks with his family and taking the kids to Aunt Amy's to go swimming. He really enjoyed watching them having fun.
Charles suffered many blows in his life, both mentally and physically. His health has been a big struggle for him in the last 10 years. But no matter the struggle, Charles was determined not to let the kids see him suffer. He always tried to keep a positive attitude, so as not to let the illness win.
