Cecil Raymond Anderson, age 77, of Liberty, IL formerly of Knox City, MO, passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2020, in Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL.  He was born May 17, 1942, in Knox City, MO, the son of Charles Edward and Bertha Marie Corbin Anderson.

Cecil received his education in Knox City, MO.   Cecil operated a transmission shop in Kirksville, MO and rebuilt transmissions in Kansas City, MO.  He was also engaged in the scrap iron business.  Cecil enjoyed traveling and spending time with family.

Surviving are a close friend Barb Doyle of Liberty, IL, three sisters, Shirley Hawkins, Debbie Kincaid and Dorothy Wolter all of Knox City, MO, one brother Kevin Anderson of Fulton, MO, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Cecil was preceded in death by his parents, one son Carl Anderson, three brothers, Ronald Lee Anderson, Delbert Ray Anderson and Robert Wayne Anderson and a brother-in-law Ronald Hawkins.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 22, 2020, in the Knox City Cemetery.  There will be no visitation.  Casket bearers will be family.
