Carolyn Sue Mason, age 79 of Edina, MO passed away Sunday, August 20, 2023, in the LaBelle Manor in LaBelle, MO.  She was born July 23, 1944, in Sulphur, OK the daughter of Garvin Audrey and Dorothy Laura Kaiser Pierce.  She was united in marriage to Gary Leland Mason on February 19, 1972, in Colorado.

Carolyn was raised in Sulphur, OK where she graduated from High School.  She attended two years of college at Oklahoma State University and two years at Colorado State University in Ft. Collins, CO where she received her Master's Degree.   After their marriage she and her husband lived in Ft. Collins until 2021, where she was a teacher and high school principal.

Carolyn loved skiing, shopping, motorhome travel and bargain hunting.  She and Gary served in the ministry at church, Christian marriage encounter ministry for six years.  She was awarded teacher of the year at Poudre School district.  She was active in career education, cared about youth and a member of the Winnebago Motor Home Club (The Columbines).

Carolyn is survived by her husband Gary Leland Mason, one son Ryan Lee (Sarah) Mason of Harrisburg, NE, on daughter Megan Sue (Zach) Baugh of Wyaconda, MO, two brothers, Tom (Marcia) Pierce of Oklahoma and George (Jeanette) Pierce of San Antonio, TX and ten grandchildren.   She was preceded in death by her parents.

Carolyn will be cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 30, 2023,11 a.m. in the Knox City Assembly of God Church in Knox City, MO.  Officiating the service will be Pastor Mike Myers.
