Obituary

Billie Lee Fast, age 74, of Baring, Missouri passed away Thursday, December 18, 2008, at the Knox County Nursing Home in Edina, Missouri.
He was born November 7, 1933, in Knox County, Missouri the son of Glen and Thelma (Marquardt) Fast.
On July 12, 1959, he was united in marriage to Betty Ruth Powers who preceded him in death on November 2, 2004. He was also preceded in death by his parents, a sister-in-law, Jeanette Fast, his mother and father-in-law, Minnie and Archie Powers, and one niece, Sherry Powers.
Surviving are two children; Terry Fast of Baring, Missouri and Rosalee Jean Klataske and husband Ronald of Baring, Missouri; four grandchildren; Bobby Klataske, Patricia Klataske, Christina Klataske, and Frankie Klataske; one great-grandchild, Zachary Klataske; two brothers, Clayton Fast and wife Emmabelle of LaBelle, Missouri and Earl Fast of Millard, Missouri; special friend, Rick Belzer of Kirksville, Missouri and several nieces and nephews.
Billie graduated from Brashear High School in 1952. He worked at the Burnham Glove Factory in Edina, Missouri for 19 years retiring in 1976. During this time, he was also engaged in farming for Mike Early in the Baring area. Billie enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching the St. Louis Cardinals and especially enjoyed playing Bingo. He never knew a stranger and enjoyed visiting with friends and family.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 22, 2008 at the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, Missouri with Reverend John Davison officiating. Recorded selections will be "The Old Rugged Cross" and "In the Garden". Burial will be at Park View Memorial Gardens in Kirksville, Missouri.
Casket bearers will be David Doss, Bobby Klataske, Ronnie Klataske, Darrell Fast, Frankie Klataske, Christina Klataske and Craig Bowen. Honorary bearers will be Clyde Potter, John Tarpein, Glennon Dromey, Casey Barnhill and Bob Thompson.
Visitation will be held Sunday evening, December 21, 2008 from 5-7 p.m. in the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, Missouri.
