Betty Jean Kinsel, age 98 of Edina, MO passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2021, in the Knox County Nursing Home in Edina, MO.  She was born April 18, 1923 in Novelty, MO the daughter of Orville Edwin and Reva Evelyn Boyd Reed.

She was united in marriage to Howard Louis Kinsel on August 2, 1942, in Macon, MO, and he preceded her in death on December 17, 1999.   Betty was also preceded by her parents and one sister Helen Beatrice Hutton.

Surviving are two children, Debra Kay Payton of Quincy, IL, and Michael Kinsel of Edina, MO, one grandson Kevin (Jessica) Payton of Durham, MO, three great grandchildren Dennis Chase Payton, Kaley Kaylynn Payton, and Parker James Payton, and several nieces and nephews.

Betty graduated from Novelty High School.  She and her husband lived most of their life in Edina, MO where Betty helped her husband at Kinsel Oil Company.   Betty was also employed at Quincy Soybean for several years.  She enjoyed gardening, canning and flowers.  Betty was a member of the Edina United Methodist Church and Matilda Order of The Eastern Star Chapter # 411 of Edina, MO.

There will be no visitation.  Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 18, 2021, in the Linville Cemetery.
