Barbara Sue Phillips, age 78 of Edina, MO passed away Sunday, May 29, 2022, in Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, MO.

She was born September 23, 1943, in Macon, MO, the daughter of Daniel Miles and Iona Josephine Lindley Edmunds.  She was united in marriage to Larry Strong Phillips on August 17, 1964 in Kirksville, MO and he preceded her in death on August 23, 2009.  Barbara was also preceded by her parents, one daughter Lisa Suzanne Chrisman and two granddaughters, Caroline Chrisman and Delilah Chrisman.

Surviving are two children, Laura Sue Allen and Nathaniel of Highland, IL, and Larry Strong Phillips and David Nickol of Lawrence, KS, five grandchildren, Miles Phillips Chrisman, Catherine Chrisman, Shelby Allen, Morgan Valentine and Simon Allen.

Barbara graduated from high school in Macon, MO and attended the University of Missouri for two years.   In 1967 Barbara moved with her husband Larry to Edina where she assisted him in his law office.   She loved writing poetry, oil painting, hunting, gourmet cooking, the outdoors and bird watching.  She was a music lover and loved classical music.  She enjoyed her German shepherd, her cats and her 9 p.m. ice cream.

Visitation and services have been postponed until a later date.
